The captain and legend of the Pittsburgh Penguins delivered yet another stellar performance in the regular season.

On Tuesday night, April 2nd, the Penguins played an away match against the Rangers and secured a victory with a score of 5:2. Sidney Crosby contributed three points to his tally (two goals and an assist). With this achievement, the Canadian hockey star secured his 19th season in his career, during which he averages no less than one point per game. The only other individual who can boast a similar feat is Wayne Gretzky.

Given that the NHL regular season consists of 82 games, Crosby will undoubtedly conclude the main part of the season with an average of at least one point per game.

The 36-year-old Crosby has been playing in the NHL since 2005. Since his debut season in the North American hockey league, the Canadian forward has consistently averaged at least one point per game.

In his 19th NHL season, Crosby has currently amassed 82 points (37 goals + 45 assists) in 74 games. He achieved this milestone in the match against the Rangers. It's worth noting that Crosby was the NHL's points leader in the 2006/07 and 2013/14 seasons. He was also recognized as the league's most valuable player in those seasons. Additionally, he clinched the Stanley Cup in 2009, 2016, and 2017, and was named the most valuable player in the NHL playoffs in 2016 and 2017.

Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKainon scored a goal against Montreal. For the Canadian, this is the 19th consecutive game with at least one point in a game.
