The reputable magazine The Ring has released its updated ranking of the world's top heavyweight boxers, introducing some significant changes to the lineup.
Details: Former world champion Tyson Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) has made a triumphant return to the elite, immediately seizing the number three spot. The Briton's climb was made possible by his commanding performance last weekend: on the night of April 12, Fury cruised to a unanimous decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Despite Fury's progress, the top of the rankings remains unchanged. The Ring championship belt is still held by Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs), who maintains his status as the planet's premier heavyweight.
Directly behind Fury in the rankings are Britain's Fabio Wardley and Germany's Agit Kabayel, who occupy the first and second spots, respectively. This new order highlights the fierce competition in the division, where seasoned veterans must constantly defend their ground against surging young talents.
