American investors are exploring an unprecedented football alliance linking European heavyweights with the Middle East.

Details: According to reputable insider Francesco Letizia, RedBird CEO Gerry Cardinale has established preliminary and indirect contacts to assess the feasibility of integrating Saudi powerhouse Al-Nassr into a multi-club ownership structure. This multi-club strategy is already being actively deployed by the American investment group through their ownership of Italian giants AC Milan and French side Toulouse.

However, at this early stage, the negotiation process is progressing with significant difficulty and remains a long way from any potential agreement. Cardinale is thoroughly analyzing the landscape to gauge all legal, regulatory, and financial implications tied to such an ambitious integration.

Bringing a prominent Saudi Pro League entity under a shared network alongside traditional European clubs presents substantial governance challenges. Nonetheless, RedBird's leadership remains committed to exploring avenues of mutual interest with the Riyadh-based side for a long-term strategic partnership.

It is worth noting that American investment firm RedBird Capital Partners acquired a controlling stake in AC Milan in August 2022 for €1.2 billion, while Toulouse has been part of the holding's sporting portfolio since 2020.
