Teams in the NBA are gearing up for the new season, and all eyes are currently on the draft results, with changes also happening within team rosters. According to insider Tomer Azarly, Russell Westbrook will not be playing for the Clippers next season.

The 35-year-old basketball player, who has a $4 million player option, is exploring other career options and appears to have already informed the California-based club of his decision.

Rumors suggesting the Clippers' interest in point guards Chris Paul and Kyle Lowry confirm the team's intention to find a replacement for Westbrook.

Last season, Russell averaged 11.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Throughout his career, the 35-year-old American has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, and two Los Angeles teams — the Lakers and Clippers.
