West Ham suffered a 0-2 defeat at home to Liverpool, and in addition to Isak's debut goal for the Merseysiders in the Premier League, there was another remarkable incident in this match.
West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta was sent off in bizarre fashion. The Brazilian was first shown a yellow card, but then launched into an emotional tirade at the referee. The match official, Ingland, tolerated it for a while, but Paqueta wouldn't back down, earning himself a second yellow and an early trip to the locker room.
What's intriguing is that Lucas Paqueta was recently at the center of a major betting scandal. He was accused of deliberately picking up yellow cards in four Premier League matches so that acquaintances could cash in on bets.
Recall, the Football Association initially pushed for a lengthy suspension, but in the end, Paqueta was fully acquitted.
