Tajikistani judoka Nurali Emomali ended his Olympic run due to a severe elbow dislocation. This type of injury is common in the sport, often caused by falling on an outstretched arm that cannot bear the opponent's weight.
However, Emomali also made headlines at the Paris Olympics for a controversial incident when he refused to shake hands with his Israeli opponent. After defeating Baruch Shmailov, Emomali turned away from his opponent, raised his finger, and shouted “Allahu Akbar.”
In the next round, against a Japanese judoka, Emomali suffered a serious injury that ended his participation in the Olympics.

Earlier, we reported that the South Korean women's team won their tenth consecutive gold medal in the Olympic team archery tournament. Notably, throughout Olympic history, no other country's athletes have ever won gold in this discipline.
