Here we go! Villarreal to splash €15 million on the new Saliba

Spanish side Villarreal are making a major reinforcement in the heart of midfield ahead of their upcoming European campaign.

Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Villarreal have reached a full agreement with Belgian club Anderlecht for the transfer of 22-year-old Canadian international central midfielder Nathan Saliba. The deal is set at €15 million.

In the coming days, the Canadian midfielder will arrive at the Spanish club for an extensive medical and to officially sign his contract. At the Yellow Submarine, Saliba will join fellow countrymen and Canada national team teammates — winger Tajon Buchanan and striker Tani Oluwaseyi.

It’s worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, Nathan Saliba featured in 45 matches across all competitions for Anderlecht, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. The reputable portal Transfermarkt currently values the 22-year-old midfielder at €10 million.
