In the final match of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Korean archers narrowly defeated the Chinese team in a tiebreaker set.
The Korean team, consisting of Lim Si-hyeon, Jeong Heun-young, and Nam Su-hyeon, continued their dominance in the women's team archery event. They claimed their 10th consecutive title in a dramatic 5-4 victory over China, ensuring they head into the next Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028 undefeated for 40 years. This incredible legacy in the sport has seen China as their closest competitors throughout this period.
Notably, no other country has ever won the gold in this discipline throughout Olympic history. Additionally, Lim Si-hyeon set the first world record at the current Paris Olympics.
