On Friday, May 17th, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk underwent the weigh-in procedure ahead of their bout for the title of the undisputed heavyweight world champion.

Following the weigh-in, a final battle of gazes took place, during which Tyson Fury nudged Oleksandr Usyk. A verbal altercation ensued between the boxers, but the Ukrainian decided to end it and stepped aside.

Incidentally, Usyk weighed in at 105.6 kg, whereas the British fighter tipped the scales at 118.8 kg. Compared to his previous bout against Daniel Dubois, Usyk's weight increased by 5.4 kg - the highest in his career. In contrast, Fury's weight decreased by 7.8 kg from his last fight against Francis Ngannou, where he weighed 126.5 kg.

The showdown for the title of undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division between Usyk and Fury is scheduled for May 18 in Riyadh. All belts and the title of undisputed heavyweight world champion will be at stake.

Together, the Ukrainian and the Briton hold all the major belts in the heavyweight division – WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and WBC.

Recall that preceding the pugilists' press conference, representatives of their entourages engaged in a skirmish, culminating in Tyson Fury's father, John, headbutting one of Usyk's team members, ultimately lacerating his own forehead.
