The Netherlands national team stormed out of the gates against Sweden at the World Cup, netting two quick goals within the opening 17 minutes of the match.

Brian Brobbey emerged as the star of the early stages, bagging a brace thanks to assists from Denzel Dumfries and Cody Gakpo. The Dutch striker struck twice in the opening spell, giving his side a comfortable advantage.

Notably, such a rapid double at the World Cup hadn't been seen since 2006, when German forward Lukas Podolski also scored twice in the opening minutes against Sweden. On that occasion, the goals came in the 4th and 12th minutes.
