Set to leave the club in January: Manchester United star agrees to a move
Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee has agreed to join Napoli in January. Italian outlet Football365 reports the news. Juventus are also showing interest in the Dutch forward.
According to the source, Napoli's advantage could lie in the potential support of former Manchester United players Rasmus Højlund and Scott McTominay. Both currently play for the Naples-based club and could reportedly advise Zirkzee to make the move to Naples.
At the same time, Manchester United could reassess their transfer strategy for January. The Sun reports that the INEOS leadership is considering taking a more active approach in the market because of the squad's personnel problems.
It is worth remembering that the Red Devils signed the forward from Bologna in the summer of 2024 for approximately £36.5 million, but the player has yet to establish himself as the team's first-choice striker. Zirkzee has often looked more convincing in an attacking midfield role than as an out-and-out forward, so a change of club could give him the opportunity to relaunch his career.
