A mysterious curse! Manchester United are haunted by an unbelievable statistic
Manchester United appear to be suffering from a very unusual football curse.
Details: An astonishing statistic has emerged following Manchester United's latest Premier League setback. The Red Devils have failed to win any of their last three matches in which an opposing player received a red card. Incredibly, all three opponents managed to secure a positive result despite being reduced to ten men.
Two of these remarkable results have come during the current campaign. On September 13, Manchester City defeated United 1-0 at Old Trafford despite Phil Foden being sent off in the 23rd minute. Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the match in the second half.
The pattern continued on October 10 against Tottenham. Rodrigo Bentancur received a straight red card in the 78th minute, but United once again failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage. Dominic Solanke scored a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw for the visitors.
As a result, Manchester United have now gone three consecutive matches without beating an opponent that received a red card. What should have been a significant advantage has repeatedly failed to translate into victory.
It's worth noting that Manchester United have collected just six points from their opening six Premier League matches this season, marking their worst start to a league campaign in 40 years.
