Richards Bay FC's Sanele Barns on their clash against Orlando Pirates: We have done our homework on them and we plan to exploit their weaknesses
Sanele Barns reveals Richards Bay FC have done a thorough homework into how Orlando Pirates play ahead of their Betway Premiership clash tonight.
Barns further described this encounter as a ‘massive’ one and he could be right given that this match at Umhlathuze Sports Complex is a sold out affair.
But Pirates are high in confidence having beaten another Kwa-Zulu Natal side – Golden Arrows – 5-0 in a midweek PSL match which will make things hard for Richards Bay.
And apart from that Arrows triumph, the Sea Robbers are also buoyed by their pursuit to derail defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns from winning their ninth title in succession.
Abdeslam Ouaddou’s men are on the second spot with 54 points which is two less than Sundowns 56, who are on top of the table.
For Pirates to stay on course to derail Sundowns they need to overcome The Natal Rich Boys this evening, something which will not be easy if Barns’ words are anything to go by.
“We have prepared thoroughly, we’ve looked at the strengths and weaknesses of Orlando Pirates. I think it’s gonna be a massive game on Friday night,” Barns told his club website.
“I think coming back from our game against Stellenbosch, I think we managed to stick to our game plan on the day,” Barns told the club’s website.
“We managed to get a win in that match. For us now we need to make sure we maintain our winning streak.
“We need to make sure we win all our games and coming to the Pirates game on Friday night, I think the guys are prepared.”
The match starts at 7.30pm.
