Mandla Ncikazi on Orlando Pirates game against Richards Bay FC tonight: Our responsibility remains taking three points on offer on the day

Mandla Ncikazi has reiterated that Orlando Pirates has one responsibility when approaching a PSL game and that is taking three points on offer.

Ncikazi, the Pirates assistant coach, revealed this is the approach they will be displaying against Richards bay FC this evening at the sold out Betway Premiership match at Umhlathuze Sports Complex.

“We must go to Umhlathuze and get three points. Orlando Pirates, that’s your responsibility and mandate, nothing less,” Ncikazi told the Pirates media team.

“Unfamiliar territory, I don’t think we ever played the game there at Umhlathuze Sports Complex, but that is not important. Whatever the field, as long as there is a piece of land, we are prepared to go there and give it our best shot with preparations, recovery, and analysis.”

This game is a crucial one for the Sea Robbers as they plan to keep pace with table-toppers and PSL defending champions in Mamelodi Sundowns.

As it is, Pirates are second with 54 points, two behind first place Sundowns.

And the game at Umhlathuze presents them with the opportunity to overtake Sundowns but Richards Bays have been vocal about the fact that they will not be pushovers.

The match starts at 7.30pm.
