Milan has identified its top candidate for the head coach position. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, after renewed talks, the club's management has named Rúben Amorim as their priority choice.
Reports indicate that the Portuguese tactician has outpaced other contenders, emerging as the main pick amid the Rossoneri's project overhaul. The club's owners, led by Gerry Cardinale, are counting on long-term stability after a disappointing season.
According to sources, Milan has already prepared an offer for Amorim—a two-year contract with an option for a third season. The club aims to establish a new tactical identity built on intense pressing, a high defensive line, and rapid ball recovery.
Other candidates considered included Matthias Jaissle from Al-Ahli and Álvaro Arbeloa, who recently left the Real Madrid system.
