Reports on Eric Tinkler's stay at PSL side Sekhukhune United: He is on his way out and his assistants are taking over until the end of season
Eric Tinkler is on his way out as Sekhukhune United coach.
The former Bafana Bafana coach has been under some pressure at Babina Noko and reports suggest the team's 1-0 win over Magesi FC on Saturay was his last in charge.
While that victory at New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening looked to have bought him time, the club management feel they have lost out on the third spot.
Tinkler was tasked with handing the team a Caf Confederation Cup spot but the resurgence of Kaizer Chiefs who occupy the third position has made lose belief it's still possible for them.
Babina Noko started the campaign as potential challengers to the Betway Premiership but those ambitions fell midway through the season as results went south.
Before the win on Saturday, Sekhukhune had last won a match in February and such irked the ire of the Babina Noko management.
Reports suggest the former Bafana Bafana midfielder has already agreed to a mutual termination of his deal at the Limpopo club with his assistants taking over until the end of the season.
Andre Arendse and Paulus Masehe were Tinkler's assistant coaches and are reported to have took charge of the club's training session in Johannesburg this morning.
The club's stance on Tinkler's future is imminent.
