Reports have linked former Sekhukhune United coach Eric Tinkler to the vacant post at Betway Premiership side Durban City to lead them next season

Eric Tinkler has been linked with a move to Durban City.

Tinkler was let go by Sekhukhune United this week after the club management felt they will not achieve their season-long goal of finishing on the third spot of the PSL standings.

Now Durban City who are without a coach after parting ways with Sinethemba Badela have been linked with the former Cape Town City gaffer.

Presently, Durban City are taken care of by Pitso Dladla, albeit on interim basis.

Tinkler’s name would be mentioned alongside Durban City for next season and unlikely to be this season.

It is likely though that Tinkler may end up at the Kwa-Zulu Natal club as he once worked with club chairman, Farouk Kadodia, while the team was still called Maritzburg United.

And therefore, they can rekindle that relationship because at this stage, Durban City are not playing any attractive football.
