Relebohile Mofokeng is back in the Orlando Pirates squad
Relebohile Mofokeng is a back in the reckoning for Orlando Pirates after a month on the side-lines. The midfield maestro has been missing for the Sea Robbers having last played a match at the start of October against Siwelele FC in a Carling Knockout match.
The 21-year-old is part of the travelling team to Durban for their game against Golden Arrows in a Betway Premiership match.
Although not clearly communicated, Mofokeng was said to be out with an injury but it was unclear what type of an injury he suffered from.
A creative thinker and a pathfinder of note, Mofokeng will add to Pirates’ running engine room of Aswin Appollis, Sipho Mbule and new sensation Camren Dansin in midfield.
But Golden Arrows are not going to tough customers as the Durban side has been impressive under Manqoba Mngqithi.
They boast Sede Junior Dion who is the current leading goal-scorer in the PSL scoring charts with 7 goals.
Over the weekend they beat Marumo Gallants 4-0 in a one sided encounter.
So Mofokeng’s return to the Pirates set up will be against a tricky Abafana Bes’thende who are eighth on the PSL standings with 16 points.
But Pirates are looking for maximum points as it will put them on par with leaders and second placed teams on the standings, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs respectively, who are on 22 points.
The game starts at 7.30m at King Zwelithini Stadium.
