Ramón Díaz Admits Brazilian Football Must Improve After Loss to Huracán

Corinthians head coach Ramón Díaz was frank after his side's 2-1 loss to Huracán in the Copa Sudamericana. The Argentine praised the visitors' intensity and tactical discipline, acknowledging they "deserved the win" while criticizing his own team's lack of creativity.
“We failed to create football. That was the biggest issue,” said Díaz.
The defeat ended Corinthians’ home unbeaten run, something the manager took hard.
“Huracán has history, they’re not just any team in Argentina,” he said.
Díaz also highlighted how Argentine clubs have recently outperformed Brazilian sides in continental competitions, citing wins by Racing and Unión.
“There isn’t a Brazilian team that hasn’t struggled against Argentines,” he added.
While disappointed, Díaz urged his players to stay strong and learn from the setback: “You have to be brave in defeat to grow. There’s no other way.”
