Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden left Old Trafford to a barrage of jeers, responding to the Manchester United fans with a provocative gesture.
Details: In the 23rd minute of the Manchester derby, the 26-year-old Englishman was shown a straight red card by referee Michael Oliver for unsporting behavior and kicking out at Bruno Fernandes in an incident near the touchline. Despite Foden's dismissal and playing with ten men, Manchester City managed to secure a 1–0 victory thanks to a winning goal from Erling Haaland.
As he headed through the tunnel and exited the stadium amid provocative chants and booing from the home supporters, Foden smiled and flashed a cheeky gesture at the stands, reminding them of the final scoreline and his side's victory.
For the straight red card for violent conduct, Foden faces an automatic three-match Premier League suspension.
