Outgoing South African national team coach Hugo Broos discloses would decline to give advice to is successor
The new South African coach should not ask current incumbent Hugo Broos for any piece of advice.
Broos is expected to vacate the national coaching position as his deal expires after his World Cup assignment with Bafana Bafana.
The Belgian also highlighted he is yet to meet with Safa to map the way forward regarding his stay or departure.
Broos has been at the helm for the past five years and guided South Africa to their maiden World Cup knockout qualification, where they lost 1-0 to Canada.
But the outspoken gaffer said he will not be ready to give whoever takes over the reigns advice on what and what not to do as the national team coach.
"This is something I will not do,” said Broos.
“If there’s a new coach, he needs to do what he needs to do and work like he works. He doesn’t need to listen to me or me give him advice; he will know what he needs to do.”
