Oswin Appollis says Orlando Pirates wanted more games against Magesi FC but they will take the three
If Oswin Appollis had his way, Orlando Pirates would have scored more goals last night against Magesi FC than the 3-0 win they registered in Polokwane.
The Bafana Bafana international scored the penalty in the game to give Pirates a comfortable lead in Polokwane's New Peter Mokaba Stadium said they wanted more than they got on the evening.
This victory saw the Sea Robbers reduce the Mamelodi Sundowns lead atop of the standings to three points.
Pirates have one game less than their opponents who have 68 points to Pirates' 65.
"It’s a very important three points you know,” said Appollis on Orlando Pirates TV.
“Today, the boys fought today and I’m happy for the overall squad even the impact players that came on that helped us with more energy.
“And we wanted to score more goals, but 3-0, we take it and focus on the next game. All thanks to my teammates for sharing the ball with me, I share with them, so it’s a team effort.
“You know, that’s why we as players, there’s more players signing in the squad is because of the team.”
