Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says the PSL title destiny is in their feet
Abdeslam Ouaddou says Orlando Pirates have no one to depend on for the Betway Premiership title but themselves.
The Pirates gaffer said the PSL title race calls on them to be on a high alert on what they do on the field of play as no one must do them any favours leading up to their possible win.
Ouaddou spoke to journalists after his side thumped Magesi FC 3-0 in a Betway Premiership match on Saturday evening at New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Pirates are second with 65 points while table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns have 68 with a game more.
“I think we will retain the last one. We are focused on ourselves. The destiny is between our feet. We just focus on how we want to play, how we want to be organised. You can see a strong Pirates,” he said.
“We don't concede goals, we score goals. So, I just ask the boys to focus on how we want to play.
While this season's race is close between them and defending champions in Mamelodi Sundowns, Ouaddou said they have their eyes and ears closed on the performance of other teams.
“We don’t expect anything from anybody. We are focused on our team. We are really confident about what we want to achieve. We feel strong, and we are going to prepare for the next game with a lot of focus in front of our fans, and we will give everything,” concluded Ouaddou.
