Orlando Pirates midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula on the PSL title talk: It's saddening seeing Mamelodi Sundowns win the PSL title for so many seasons
Makhehleni Makhaula has grown weary of seeing Mamelodi Sundowns walk to the PSL title podium at the end of the season as champions.
The Orlando Pirates is of the view this has to stop this season as his Pirates side are looking to ensure the PSL trophy ends in their trophy cabinet.
And tomorrow evening these two teams face each other in the Betway Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium.
“For me, I take each and every game as a big match but with Sundowns everyone is looking forward to the game because I think somewhere, somehow it is sad always seeing them win the league,” Makhaula said.
As much as Makhaula sees this clash as significant he does not want to categorise it as a title decider.
“I can say that winning will make us happy because everyone is looking at this fixture and everyone is saying it could be the decider of the league but I’m saying what if we play a draw?” he quipped.
“What if we win or they win? And there are also other teams that are competing because we’re not only playing Sundowns. Those points against the other teams are important. So we need to push them hard so that they can see to win the league.”
The titanic clash starts at 7.30pm.
