Mamelodi Sundowns extend fourth choice goalkeeper Jody February's contract for two years despite lack of game time

February extended his stay at Chloorkop even though he is fourth choice on the pecking order at the Miguel Cardoso side.

Sundowns have Ronwen Williams, Denis Onyane and Reyaad Pieterse ahead of February in the goalkeeping zone.

Expectation would have been that the former Ajax Cape Town goalminder would resist extending his contract at Chloorkop.

“I think we have to thank Mamelodi Sundowns for their professionalism with how they handled the contract of Jody February,” February’s agent Mike Makaab told FarPost.

“So I can tell you that February will be staying with Sundowns, his future is secured. He signed a two-year contract with an option to extend for a further year. We’re hoping that he remains injury-free to compete for a place in the team because we all know that he’s a talented goalkeeper.”
