The saga surrounding Everton's sale has officially concluded. The English club is now owned by the Friedkin Group, which also owns AS Roma.

Details: Everton announced on their official website that the club has been officially acquired by the Friedkin Group. The transaction was completed following an agreement between Farhad Moshiri's Blue Heaven Holdings (BHH) and Roundhouse.

Mark Watts, the new Executive Chairman of Everton Football Club, called this a historic and proud day for the organization.

Quote: "Today marks a historic and proud moment for The Friedkin Group as we become custodians of this iconic football club. We are committed to leading Everton into an exciting new era both on and off the pitch. Ensuring the club’s immediate financial stability has been our key priority, and we are pleased to have achieved that.

While restoring Everton to its rightful place in the Premier League table will take time, today represents the first step on that journey," he stated.

Just a few days ago, the Premier League gave the green light for the ownership transfer, clearing another major hurdle in the process.

Reminder: In late September, Friedkin’s company purchased 94.1% of Everton’s shares from Moshiri. The transaction amount remains undisclosed.
