Renowned Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi has found a new club.

Marseille has officially announced De Zerbi's appointment, with his contract extending until the summer of 2027.

The 45-year-old manager's previous club was Brighton, which he led to European competitions for the first time in the club's history during the 2022/23 season. After the season concluded, De Zerbi decided to leave Brighton, attracting interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Juventus.

Last season, Marseille was managed by three different coaches. The team started under the guidance of Spaniard Marcelino, followed by Gennaro Gattuso. After Gattuso's departure, Jean-Louis Gasset took over as interim head coach until the season's end.

Marseille finished last season in eighth place, failing to qualify for European competitions.
