Tottenham player Son Hin-min's name has recently hit the headlines, but for a very unpleasant matter that involves members of his family.
According to Marca with reference to Youhap news agency, representatives of the prosecutor's office of Chungcheong city, which is 75 kilometres from Seoul, questioned three members of Son's academy, which is located in the same city.
Two of them are the Tottenham star's closest relatives, namely his father and brother. They are accused of physically and psychologically abusing a minor who trained at this academy.
The parents of the victim filed a report after their son returned from a training camp with a scar on his thigh, which was previously the result of a blow with a corner flag. The young footballer himself accused the coaches of swearing at him.
The police referred the case to the prosecutor's office in April, while the Tottenham player's father, Son Woon-joon, denies all allegations against him.
