Miguel Timm speaks for the first time as a Cape Town City player following his move from Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United
Miguel Timm has broken silence on his move from Sekhukhune United to Cape Town City.
Timm left Betway Premiership side United for the Motsepe Foundation Championship promotion chasing Cape Town City.
The former Orlando Pirates midfield maestro surprised many by leaving lucrative the Premier Soccer League for the relegated City.
"I understand what this brand means to the fans," Timm told the Cape Town City media.
"I know the supporters appreciate players who fight for the club. I promise that whenever I wear this shirt, I will give everything and leave everything I have on the pitch."
Timm joins other experienced players in former Kaizer Chiefs players in Njabulo Ngcobo and Keagan Dolly at Cape Town City.
"I'm turning 34, so probably one of my last memories, and I want it to be a good experience," Timm added.
"It might be short to get to the PSL, but we can all be heroes for this City if we all put our minds to it and work well together."
The restart of the National First Division is in two weeks’ time when City face Gomora United.
