Miguel Cardoso feels Portugal powers that be in football do not recognise them well enough as Portuguese football ambassadors in Africa.
The Mamelodi Sundowns coach said they need far better recognition in the country of their birth on the inroads they are making on African football.
He also cited former Al-Ahly coach Manuel Jose who is also of Portuguese descent as a prime example.
Jose won the Caf Champions League with the Egyptian giants four times.
His counterpart for tomorrow's - Alexandre Santos - game at Loftus Versveld is also Portuguese born.
