Miguel Cardoso promises a fighting Mamelodi Sundowns in Morocco despite a 1-0 lead over ASFAR
You would expect Mamelodi Sundowns to let the foot off the pedal in their Caf Champions League second leg in Morocco.
You would expect their coach Miguel Cardoso to speak about how they will defend the one goal lead they have over ASFAR in Rabat on Sunday.
But the Sundowns coach said they are heading to North Africa not only to score but to also make their one goal from the first leg work for them.
Sundowns won the game 1-0 at Loftus Versveld on Sunday against Alexandre Santos men and are to travel to Morocco for this Sunday's second leg.
Aubrey Modiba freekick was enough to see them leave the Pretoria venue as victors.
"We will fight to make the one goal advantage enough, a second goal would've been more fair for the level we showed in the first leg, but we are going to take the right energy and approach the second leg seriously," said Cardoso.
The game is Morocco was sold out almost 10 days ago and it goes to show that the fans there will be as partisan.
So Sundowns' Cardoso need to know nothing easy is awaiting them in Morocco.
