Marcello Allende on Mamelodi Sundowns' clash against Polokwane City tomorrow: It's a very important match for us as we take one game at a time

Marcello Allende has described Mamelodi Sundowns’ game against Polokwane City tomorrow as the most ‘important’ game.

Sundowns face Polokwane City for the second time this week having beaten them 1-0 in midweek via Allende’s strike in the dying minutes of the Betway Premiership game at Seshego Stadium.

That victory saw Sundowns return to the summit of the PSL standings with 61 points, two more than second placed Orlando Pirates, as the title race intensifies with each game.

“We need to take it one game at a time, the most important one is the next one – the Polokwane game at Loftus,” said Allende.

“We’re on top where we need to be, where Sundowns deserve to stay. I’m happy that we got the three points.”

Tomorrow’s tie at Loftus is likely to be filled with fireworks as Polokwane City are likely to be going to Pretoria sold out on not losing twice to Sundowns in one week.

Allende spoke in confidence about how they deserve to be on top of the table as that’s standard for a club of Sundowns’ calibre.

And the word pressure does not exist in their change room.

“Pressure? It’s just the job we have to do in any pitch, anywhere we’re always looking for the three points,” he added.

The game starts at 3pm.
