Man of the Match Relebohile Mofokeng reveals how his coach Abdeslam Ouaddou's words encouraged him against Magesi FC in a 2-0 win for the Sea Robbers
Relebohile Mofokeng has revealed what Abdeslam Ouaddou told him ahead of their game against Magesi FC.
Mofokeng scored and had an assist for Orlando Pirates in the 2-0 at the Orlando Amstel Arena in a sold out Betway Premiership match.
The other goal was finished by Yanela Mbuthuma from a Mofokeng cross.
“The coach told me that I must feel free, go into the spaces, and be myself,” said Mofokeng after walking away with the Man of the Match award.
“So, I think that gave me the confidence to play my normal game. I believe that I have confidence now because he gave me that confidence to be free.”
Mofokeng admitted the game was not easy as the Magesi defence was not easy to penetrate.
“It was very difficult in the beginning, but I think we managed to pull the triggers to see the spaces behind them. I think we did very well. I believe we deserve the three points, and we will keep on going,” he added.
Pirates face AmaZulu on Tuesday in PSL match, where they will be hoping to consolidate their title challenge.
