Mamelodi Sundowns defender Grant Kekana ahead of their Caf Champions League semi-final match against Esperance: We know what is at stake here
Grant Kekana has highlighted that Mamelodi Sundowns are looking surpass what they achieved last season and succeed where they failed as well.
This means that Kekana and his team-mates are looking to ensure they not only reach the Caf Champions League but also clinch it.
Sundowns lost on this continental competition last season against Egyptian giants in Pyramids in the final.
Ironically, it was Kekana’s error which led to one of the goals scored by striker Fiston Mayele.
But reading from his words, it does seem like he is a man interested to correct his mistakes and see his side win the elusive trophy they last won in 2016.
It will all be clear tomorrow evening when they face Tunisia’s Esperance in Tunis for the Champions League first leg semi-final.
“I think we know what’s at stake, we know what awaits us at the end of the season if we keep going, it’s our biggest motivation, also to better what we did last season,” Kekana said.
The game starts at 9pm.
