Roma forward Paulo Dybala is on the verge of signing a new two-year deal with the Roman side, with the Argentine set to accept a significant pay cut in order to stay with the team.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 32-year-old striker has decided to extend his contract with the Giallorossi just days before he could have become a free agent. Despite interest from Boca Juniors, the player leaned towards continuing his career in Rome.
Reports suggest that under the terms of the new agreement, Dybala's salary will drop from €8 million per season to approximately €2.5 million plus bonuses. Part of the payments will depend on the number of matches he plays, taking into account his recent injury issues.
