Lions of Teranga head to Marseille ahead of their friendly against the Comoros

The Senegalese national team left Ethiopia on Wednesday 30 September, the day after their victory over the Walia in the second matchday of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Following their match in Bahir Dar on 29 September, the Senegalese players headed for Marseille, where they will continue their tcamp during this international break. Patrick Vieira’s side are now preparing for their next fixture, scheduled against the Comoros.

The international friendly will take place on Sunday 4 October at the Velodrome Stadium in France. This match will be Senegal’s final fixture during this international break.

The first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers saw the Lions of Teranga draw with Mozambique and beat Ethiopia. Patrick Vieira will use this final match of the September–October 2026 FIFA international break to make adjustments to the Lions of Teranga’s tactics.
