Iliman Ndiaye secures victory for Senegal against the Comoros in a friendly
The Lions of Teranga secured victory at the Stade Velodrome Stadium in Marseille on Sunday 4 October.
The Senegal national team got the job done against the Comoros in their international friendly played in France. Patrick Vieira’s side sealed their victory within the first 10 minutes.
Iliman Ndiaye put the Lions of Teranga ahead four minutes after kick-off. The Manchester City right-winger found the back of the net in the 5th minute following an assist from Ibrahim Mbaye to make it 1-0.
The score remained unchanged until the teams went into the dressing rooms at half-time. In the second half, no further goals were scored either. Both teams continued to press without managing to make the difference again. Senegal thus won this international friendly.
This is Patrick Vieira’s second victory since taking charge of the Senegal national team. The manager of the Lions of Teranga had made his debut in charge of Senegal with a 1–1 draw against Mozambique on the first matchday of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, before his team secured a 1–0 victory over Ethiopia on matchday two of those qualifiers.
Senegal thus ended their international break on a positive note at the Velodrome.
