Lebone Seema and Nkosinathi Sibisi: These are two players who have the ability to replace Mbekezeli Mbokazi in the Orlando Pirates defensive unit
Lebone Seema and Nkosinathi Sibisi are central defenders touted by Orlando Pirates coach to replace departed man Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
Abdeslam Ouaddou said the team has capable players to fill the void expected to exist after Mbokazi’s departure to Chicago Fire in the USA.
“Yes you know there were many questions around the departure of Mbokazi but you know we have a fantastic group, we have good defenders and the guys Lebone Seema and NKosinathi Sibisi did well today and our philosophy is not counting on one player,” Ouaddou said.
“When we’re strong defensively, when we have clean sheets it’s due to the collective, not only one player. Of course he was important but I’m sure the guys will do a fantastic job, you can see, they proved it today.”
But it’s interesting why Ouaddou thinks both Seema and Sibisi can replace Mbokazi as both players are right-footed while Mbokazi is left-footed.
That Ouaddou played both Seema and Sibisi against Sekhukhune United and they did not concede is probably the reason why he feels either of the two can fill the Mbokazi shoes.
Babina Noko did not really trouble the Sea Robbers in the goalless draw.
But the positive Ouaddou takes from this game is that Mbokazi replacement is found and it lies between Seema and Sibisi.
