Kaizer Chiefs end the year on a low with a goalless draw against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium but still jump move to fourth spot on goal difference
Kaizer Chiefs recorded their second successive goalless draw in seven days.
In midweek, they draw 0-0 against Chippa United and this afternoon it was the same score against TS Galaxy in Mbombela.
Today was different though as they had the ball in the net from striker Flavio Da Silva which was flagged offside but replays show it was a legitimate goal.
Such results for the Naturena-based side are not making their aspirations of a respectable finish this season to look real or even to be seen as potential championship challengers.
Their building blocks are not as strong convincing of a team worthy of a top three finish.
It will be interesting how the Africa Cup of Nations recess will affect them.
In previous seasons, such more than a month long lay-off kills the momentum while others it helps lift the team.
For Chiefs they desperately need a plan if the glory days are to return.
TS Galaxy also did not move on the table as they remain on the eighth spot with 21 points while Chiefs are fourth with 24.
Betway Premiership returns after the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco which start on 21 December until 18 January 2026.
