Ben Yousef Khalil: Kaizer Chiefs goal by striker Flavio Silva was a legitimate one in the goalless draw against TS Galaxy

Ben Khalil Youssef is in a pensive mood following Kaizer Chiefs’ disallowed goal against TS Galaxy yesterday.

Youssef believes officials got it wrong when they flagged Flavio Silva’s strike offside.

Youssef is right.

Replays show that the striker was indeed onside. He also decries his side’s penalty call.

“We scored a goal, in my opinion it’s a great goal,” he said after the game on SuperSport TV.

“Penalty! We don’t take get awarded penalty and in football what we know in football, when you score you will win.

“We scored and they remove the goal.

“We create more than 12, 13 opportunity, 26 shots on target but finally we have to continue to work.

“I don’t like to repeat myself every time, we are unlucky.”

These failed possibilities in the 0-0 match meant Chiefs are fourth on the Betway Premiership standing with 24 points while Galaxy remains eighth with 21.

It was the last game of the PSL season for the year as the league is in Africa Cup of Nations recess.
