Junior Khanye disappointed with Kaizer Chiefs’ transfer policy. What’s the issue?

Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of several new players, but one of the team’s former stars is far from pleased with the club’s current direction.
Details: In an interview with Soccer Laduma, Junior Khanye criticized Chiefs for bringing in players who are largely unknown. He believes that over the past decade, the club has consistently made poor decisions.
Quote: “Chiefs are signing players we’ve never heard of, and it’s hard to comment on them without having seen them play. As a result, the club has been disappointing for the last 10 years, and I think something needs to change. They’ve brought in players like Jason Gonzalez, Arohasina Andrianarimanana, Anthony Akumu Agay — and the list just goes on,” said Khanye.
He also believes Chiefs should have signed a player like Sipho Mbule.
Quote: “Kaizer Chiefs should’ve done what Orlando Pirates did by signing Sipho Mbule, although I understand they may have had concerns about his off-field behavior,” Khanye added.
Reminder: Kaizer Chiefs' budget for the upcoming season is among the highest in the South African Premier Division. It covers both player signings and a pre-season training camp in the Netherlands.
