Last season was disappointing for Kaizer Chiefs. Despite winning the Nedbank Cup, Amakhosi finished in a lowly ninth place in the Betway Premiership. Now, the club is looking to improve its performance — and that requires serious investment.

Details: According to Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs' budget for the upcoming season is among the highest in the South African Premier Division. It covers both player signings and a pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. The European tour alone is expected to cost between R22 million and R25 million, which is significantly more than last year’s camp in Turkey.

Importantly, head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s call for reinforcements has been answered. The club has already unveiled three new signings, and more arrivals are expected.

Reminder: Today, Kaizer Chiefs officially announced the signings of Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, and Ethan Chislett — the latter having spent his entire senior career in England and Spain.
