Jose Riveiro praises South Africa's Betway Premiership and predicts Egypt may win the Africa Cup of Nations currently underway in Morocco

Jose Riveiro has praised South Africa’s PSL.

The former Orlando Pirates coach has heaped praise on the level of professionalism of the Betway Premiership.

"I think many people will be surprised by the South African league,” Riveiro told Tiempo de Juego programme.

"The league there is very well organised, and football in South Africa is completely different.

"It relies on pure talent, technical quality, creativity, and extremely entertaining players."

"The South African league is not very well known, but it includes clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns, who left a very good impression at the Club World Cup, as well as Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs."

Riveiro who also coached Al-Ahly in Egypt said the North African nation can win the Africa Cup of Nations.

"Beware of Egypt, because they have a team with good players in midfield and attack. They have the ability to win matches even without playing well," he said.
