Jayden Adams fears putting the foot wrong against ASFAR in today's Caf Champions League first leg final
Jayden Adams is fast becoming Mamelodi Sundowns' bad boy.
The former Stellenbosch FC midfielder has become good yet robust in his display which has dented some of the good work he has done.
Adams received his marching orders in the PSL match against Kaizer Chiefs two weeks ago for a tackle on Mduduzi Shabalala and that has put the bad boy spotlight on him.
As Sundowns take on the field against ASFAR in the Caf Champions League first leg final at Loftus Versveld, Adams admitted he fears putting his foot wrong.
"It plays a lot on my mind because this is a big one you know. You have to be really careful and you don't want to put your team in a situation they don't want to be in, but if I put that behind me it should be good," he said this week ahead of the showdown today in Pretoria.
Adams highlighted how winning his Caf Champions League match would salvage what has been a barren season in terms of silverware for the Miguel Cardoso-coached side.
“There's a lot of pressure on us because we haven't won anything this season, but the pressure is a privilege for us and we are going to show up and do our best.” he added.
"In terms of the league, we are still top of the log so the pressure is on them. If we win on Sunday we can qualify for the Club World Cup which will be a massive achievement for us."
The match starts at 4pm.
