Yesterday, we reported that Bayern Munich is interested in acquiring Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu. The German club was prepared to offer the Turkish player a four-year contract with a salary of €8 million per year, plus bonuses.

The Italian champions were initially not interested in selling one of their key players. However, according to Tuttosport and Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s management, represented by directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio, is willing to reconsider their decision if a substantial offer from the German club is made. Should Bayern Munich propose a fee in the range of €50-60 million, negotiations might commence.

Inter's coach, Simone Inzaghi, is a clear opponent of this move, insisting that the Turkish midfielder is a crucial player for his team.

Currently, there is no information on whether Çalhanoğlu himself desires to leave Italy. However, if he expresses a wish to join Bayern Munich, the club might agree to let him go, thus saving €6 million per year in salary, plus bonuses.
