India vs Sri Lanka: BCCI Announces New Venue for First ODI in 2026 Series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced a new venue for the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka, scheduled to be played on December 13, 2026.

The match was initially set to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi but has now been moved to the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, which will host the series opener on the same date.

The remaining fixtures will go ahead as scheduled, with the second ODI set for Bengaluru on December 16 before the teams travel to Ahmedabad for the third and final match on December 19.

According to an official statement by the board, the decision follows a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), which cited the possibility of weather disruptions and proposed renovation work at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as reasons for the change.
