Locked down until 2030! Barcelona officially secure the future of their attacking superstar
Barcelona have secured the long-term future of one of their biggest stars.
Details: Barcelona have officially confirmed a new contract for Brazilian forward Raphinha, extending his stay at the Catalan club until June 30, 2030. The signing ceremony was scheduled for Thursday, November 5, at 12:00 CET in the office of club president Joan Laporta at Spotify Camp Nou. The 29-year-old captain was also expected to address the media following the ceremony.
The new agreement adds another two years to Raphinha's previous contract, which was due to expire in June 2028. Barcelona sporting director Deco had already reached an agreement in principle with the Brazilian international back in September, paving the way for the official renewal.
The extension comes at an extraordinary moment in the forward's career. Raphinha has been in sensational form under Hansi Flick during the 2026/27 campaign, scoring an impressive 19 goals in just 13 appearances across LaLiga and the Champions League. Fifteen of those goals have come in the Spanish championship, with another four in Europe's elite competition.
The Brazilian recently demonstrated his outstanding form in Barcelona's Champions League clash with Aston Villa on November 3. Raphinha scored twice as the Catalans secured a convincing 3-0 victory. His performances have made him one of the team's leading attacking figures, while he also wears the captain's armband this season.
It's worth noting that, according to Barcelona's official statistics, Raphinha ranks fourth among Brazilian players in the club's history for both appearances and goals, with 190 matches played and 94 goals scored.
