The situation at Atletico seems to be a little more tense than it appears. There are statements coming out of the Madrid club, from which it is not entirely clear what the state of affairs actually are.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has previously stated that teammate forward Álvaro Morata will stay at the Wanda Metropolitano, but the striker himself doesn't think so:

"I don't know if I will stay at Atletico. I have received messages from many at the club, but not from Cholo [Diego Simeone, Atletico's head coach - note]. I know Simeone very well, if he didn't count on me, he would have called me," Morata is quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Earlier, it was reported that the Spaniard is ready to leave the team. It is believed that he is interested in Juventus Turin, which intends to sign Morata for the third time.
