Atletico president confident his forward will stay in the team despite interest from top club

Atlético Madrid have a host of top strikers who have attracted the attention of just as many top clubs. But Rojiblancos president Enrique Cerezo remains calm.

The Madrid boss is aware of Juventus' interest in striker Álvaro Morata but, as he said in a conversation with As, there is nothing to worry about:

"I think the Morata issue is one that has no problems. He is a great player, he is the number nine of the Spanish national team and he is a player of our team. I think he will continue to play for Atletico."

But, at the same time, Cerezo is not convinced that the partnership will be extended with another striker, namely João Félix, who spent last season on loan at Barcelona:

"The situation is exactly the same as it was fifteen days ago and three months ago. He is an Atletico player who is on loan at Barcelona. We don't know what Barcelona's reaction will be and when we find out, we will make the decisions we have to make."
