France coach ridiculed Luis Enrique and praised Mbappe

In yesterday's match, the French national team secured a historic victory against Gibraltar (14:0).

The national team captain, PSG star, Kylian Mbappé, also contributed to this victory. The forward netted a hat-trick in the match, marking a milestone of 300 career goals.

The national team match came just days after PSG coach Luis Enrique criticized Mbappé's overall contribution in their game against Reims. However, it's fair to say that France's head coach, Didier Deschamps, didn't align with Enrique's view on this matter.

Responding to RMC regarding Mbappé's performance after the historic win against Gibraltar, Deschamps chuckled in response to Enrique's comments and stated, "I expect more from him. As a captain, he is ideal. He is an outstanding player, calm within the team, not just on the field."

Recalling the aftermath of PSG's 3-0 win against Reims, wherein Mbappé secured a hat-trick, Luis Enrique remarked, "I have nothing to say about the goals, but he can help the team in other ways. I will talk to him about this, but these are private discussions. Kylian is one of the best players in the world, but we want more from him."

Mbappé predictably started the season remarkably, scoring fifteen goals in fifteen matches across all competitions. However, despite PSG leading Ligue 1, the French champions haven't consistently displayed top-tier football since Enrique took the reins of the Parisian club. The Spanish coach is eager for more from his stars, particularly from Mbappé.
